Actually, regarding the butchers
It looks like something else is taking it's place

You're right, it has a green exterior unlike the butchers which has red. Could this be anything to do with the library storyline with Roy or has that finished - haven't seen it in ages?

It's something to do with the new family, I'm thinking bookshop, should just give Roys a long over due re-fit and make it a cafe/bookshop.

Yes one of those cafe/bookshops you get everywhere.....

I think he meant like the waterstones/cafe W?

Some incongruous 25p ("filmic") shots from inside Rob's car in yesterday's Corrie.

Guessing they were shot on GoPros or DSLRs to cope with limited space - and they didn't set them up (or couldn't) to record 50p rather than 25p.

I revisiting the Corrie tour yesterday, after initially visiting it on opening day back in April. The guide was MUCH better - she had more information and facts about the show, but got a few trivial things wrong. However in the six months since it has been open, anything that wasn't tied down from the sets has gone walkies! The name badges have been pulled off the cast pigeon holes, and the menus, ornaments and Weatherfield Gazettes have been taken from the Rovers. The Street itself and the front gardens are also looking considerably tatty! Despite being difficult to get tickets, they were having to round people up from several different times because there weren't many people about, although it did give us extra time to tour the stage.

Also, Ken's Kimono has been removed from the tour as he needs it in an upcoming scene!

Shouldn't this be in a dedicated rota thread?

I bet the the studios are saving a load of money on location filming.

HMP Weatherfield looked remarkably like the outside of the new studio buildings, as did Weatherfield General last week, and something else a few weeks back!

I doubt this is any different to how they used to film such scenes before. Weatherfield Police and various other regular outside locations were on the Quay Street site.

However, the repetition of seeing the interior of that same small hospital set is beginning to grate. Everyone always seems to end up in a single occupancy room connected to the same waiting area. The NHS in the North West must be overloaded with money, because nobody ever ends up on a ward! Razz

At least Martin Platt doesn't always happen to be on shift and passing by, regardless of who it was who had been admitted, like what used to always happen at Weatherfield General!

Nice mention of Fred Elliot tonight, I say it was a nice mention of Fred Elliot.
