Well Corrie has (with the exception of a few episodes taped at Tyne Tees) always been made at Quay Street, and you do tour the Quay Street site, so you are visiting the 'set' that has been used for 50 years.... loosely!
Considering that large chunks of the set date from 1989/1999, and the original terrace has been rebuilt heavily over the years, what part would be considered listable?
But arnt' the old studios, excluding Stage 1 and Stage 2, actually part of the OGS complex rather than the "set tour" whilst Stage 1 was only built in the late 1980's, whilst Stage 2 was initially specifically built for Sherlock Holmes series' before being converted for extra sets for Coronation Street.
A forward thinking developer would think of ways to incorporate the street into the new flats, maybe just the frontages. I hope the new buildings and streets built on the site have names that have a reference back to Granada.

They could just keep the cobbles!
The cobbles may be of some value to some people, there is a increasing amount of people looking for reclaimed materials.
Not sure how I feel about this. I've always thought that Beth is the new Cilla type character, but has a bit more depth. I always found Cilla a bit two-dimensional and cartoony. Having said that, she looks a bit less tarty there than she used to. Maybe she's softened.
I think I remember an announcment about this a few weeks ago, however I'm sure that they said that they said that it was just for a few weeks which I wouldn't be surprised her to reurn 'for good' a month or two later.
