Why does Ken suddenly have an American accent when he shouts " How could you Naaat tell me"?

So I wasn't the only one who noticed...

Could it be a Canadian accent? probably picked it after his long stay in Canada

What we should really be talking about is Ken's quick pace movements as he for no reason picked up the table and threw it over before continuing his shouting.

Is that Mawdsley Street or a reshuffled Rosamund Street?

Although we know it was perhaps inevitable, it's now official . . .

BBC News - Former Coronation Street set to be demolished

Although English Heritage reasons for refusing to give the set listed building status is still baffling:

Quote:
The set had been used since 1982 but was refused listed status in 2012.

English Heritage said the complex was not sufficiently historic or architecturally significant to be listed.

How exactly is it "not sufficiently historic or architecturally significant" ?!? That reason still makes no sense at all especially when it was home to the longest running contiunous serial drama on British TV for decades.

The first ever set may have been more historic; if the programme had ended, it may have been more significant - they have a near-replica set a short distance away that may be more significant should the programme end.

The simple answer to that is it's a subjective thing.

What rattles me the most is that a few times at the en of the programme they have advertised the old set as the one that has been used for the last 50 years!!!!! Now I know my maths is not that good but 1982 to 2013 does not equal 50 years. It is only 31 years.

As for listed status, I thought that only applied to fully functional "proper" buildings that were over 40 years old.

I wouldn't get worked up over it.
