I have to say tonight's episodes have been pretty good.

And I thought the complete oposite having watched for the first time in a long while. Ken & Deidre's scenes in particular were were so ludicrous, and abysmally acted, they were actually laugh out loud funny.

Not the best shot, but Sophie ran after Max through it on Fridays 7.30 episode. I thought tonight was good, comedy and heavy drama.

I thought they were quite good too. Always enjoyed scenes with Ken and Deirdre.

That said, I struggle to believe in the age of the internet that Ken would be completely oblivious. His character is the type to have gone online to check the Weatherfield Gazette.... Coronation Street is a documentary, yes? Laughing

Agreed, I lived overseas for a while and checked BBC, The Bolton News and The Manchester Evening News on a daily basis (I even had Sky - so NWT and GR to watch!) - so Ken shouldn't have been to oblivious to what was happening!

Talking of which it was nice to see Granada Reports get a name check in tonights first episode.

Kens voice was odd when he was shouting at Deidre too. About as odd as that alley.

I was expecting "Bad Boyz", by Shyne, or even "The Boys Are Bank in Town! by Thin Lizzy to paying from the jukebox when he entered the Rovers! Laughing

I thought it was quite obvious why they removed them and I was kind of stating the obvious.

I suspect you've misread 'can' as 'can't' in my initial post? Anyway doesn't really matter.

Moving on, and Ken's back tonight...

Not wanting to be unkind as I know he's been through an appalling ordeal... but there's something strange about his voice? Or is it just me? As if he's had a stroke or something?

I noticed his voice and thought maybe it was just me, also William Roach has lost weight too. In fairness, I haven't really missed him.

Yep, Dierdre broke down just like I've seen my mother do before now. I think that scene was up there with the Mike-Dierdre-Ken love triangle scene where Ken pinned her against the door.

Its also NOT the first time there been at it:

There are people who act just like Dierdre and ken, jumping in and out of beds with other people, having trouble BUT somehow always end up back in each others arms.

I WISH Blanche wa still around
