Oi, that's quality merchandise, that is. Where else can you get a copy of Windows 98 these days?

I was wondering if/when someone would spot that copy of Windows 98 on a shelf at Barlows Buys!

When we went on the tour the chippy looked like it had seen better days. I always think the need some kind of Greggs or Sayers but not like the old bakery they had.

So the Chippy still in use? I agree there could get a nice bakery or flower shop? Is there anything in the old Buthers shop next to roys rolls? or is that still empty? and has the Doctors been taken out of use?

I did too . . . but after a few weeks it was still there, which is really quite a bad indictment of attention to detail by the production design staff.

Dramatic licence can only stretch so far, can't it. Shocked

They don't have 'Capston Full Strength' on display in the Kabin for 5/', do they? Very Happy Very Happy

Well it's entirely right for the setting, and in character for Tracey Barlow.

Would you expect her to be remotely knowledgeable about Microsoft operating systems ?

Just a few comments after reading a few pages,
It is about time something opened up in the old butchers shop, it's four years now since it closed. Local butchers still doing okay where I live, someone could take over it however with Claire absconded and still 'owning' it not sure how it would change hands.
The chippy used to feature occasionally a few years back 2010-2012, more regularly than Prima Donner.
The doctors seem to be redundant ATM, after Doctor Carter left. I liked the way character appeared from time to time, but not a regular always hanging about. Deirdre may still work there? Unsure.
Two shops isn't too bad, I know places where on the same street you've got a newsagent (like the Kabin) plus two groceries shops (like Devs) & then a post office come newsagent. Although it doesn't really matter as corrie isn't realistic, but when are any dramas/films etc. are? They have to be a bit more interesting than everyday life. I coming in from work put the tea on and watch telly then go to bed but that's not going to be very interesting on screen!

And Peter was seen getting some fish and chips from Mr Wong's, so it obviously still is open!

It looks a far cry today from what it did in that photo.

It looks a bit tidier at the new set, not by much though, lol
