So a certain buisness is changing it's name

The fact that this renders the recently changed titles slightly out of date is mildly annoying Laughing

Could be just a temporary change as part of the storyline. But agree if it's not then it makes the titles out of date after just a couple of months.

I just saw some pictures of the Tour de ITV team on the Corrie set

From the looks of this pic, that new area of the street is finished

That doorway makes it look like it might actually be used as part of the set, and not just a facade.

I wonder how they'll explain that part of Rosamund Street has suddenly rotated 90 degrees Laughing

I spotted it in the behind the scenes for the new promo

When is this coming into play? Is it under the viaduct that is now going to be used as in where this picture is? If so I'm confused at Rosamund Street turning 90 degrees?

The viaduct appeared there in the 1990s out of nowhere, so I suppose that area of Weatherfield must have some sort of spacial rift, which also accounts for the trans-dimentional oddities between the interior and exterior of the 'Rovers' for so many years. Laughing

It's probably the same anomaly which moved over the road and transported Cluurr & Ashley's stairs from one side of the living room to the other overnight. Shocked

When you've got murder, rape and adultery going on at every turn, I doubt the residents are too bothered about a bit of their reality being reconfigured. Thumbs up

But when it did appear wasn't there always houses at the bottom? I know that these weren't real but in opening credits and such you can see them?

Thanks for trying to clarify I'm probably being stupid as I remain puzzled.

Wait I actually think I know what you mean. Are you talking about how the street used to continue on for a while but now meets a row of houses?

This was always the 'view' down the rest of Rosamund Street. It was actually a screen put up on the side of Granada's office building at Quay Street.

It looked so false, that they usually tried to hide it by parking a Brewery van outside the pub to block it.

Ah right and now that they have moved location they are expanding and it'll look like the image you uploaded earlier, yes? Cracking explanation by the way - really appreciated.
