I don't think I've seen a street with so little double glazing. They must be constantly getting pestered by Safestyle UK.

Have they got rid of the door at the side of the building, which was only recently added?

Nah, it's just a bit further along

The door isn't in that second pic either? I'm on about the one that can be seen here:

The door is still there. This isn't a great pic but you can see it here - like Chewy says, it's further along the wall:

Ah right, I thought you meant the new cellar door, lol. Glad they moved the door along though, its past location made no sense, lol.

I notice some DS pics show the new gym, I hope the set lasts, and doesn't get burned down in a few months, the show needs some meeting places that arent boozers

Well the old set tour opened this morning!
It starts with a tour of Stage 1, the greenroom, dressing rooms, costume room, and then the Stage itself (Carlas Flat, Platts Living Room, THE ROVERS!, some coffins, Martha's Barge, Jack and Veras, some heirlooms and awards, and then the old production gallery. Then we are out onto the Street! Its tiny!! The heath centre is the shop where you can buy rubbers, pens and bags, and get your photo printed, and then upon exit you can head to the old Granada Studios Tour section, where you walk past 'Weatherfield Police Station', 'Ladycabs', Weatherfield Precinct and tram stop, before heading out onto Water Street.

Well worth £16!

I noticed at the bus stop that the routes numbers have changed!!!!

On the old set the routes that served Coronation Street were 33 and 63 which, in reality, mirrored the bus stops outside the set on the real street. On Friday's episode I noticed the routes were now 79, 8? and 8?A ("?" means I cant remember the number!!!) which now actually mirrors the bus routes that operate near the new set! So in the land on TV has Coronation Street actually changed district???? Very Happy

ISTR the Health Centre was the Corrie gift shop on the original Granada Studios tour, although you could get your photos printed in the actual Rovers.

Can't remember much as I was only young, but I thought the health centre had a big turntable and you watched old clips of Corrie in there?

Yes it did and old photos on the walls etc, but there was a shop as part of that. I think it was called The Coronation Street Story.

What was the duration of the tour?

The tour around Stage One is 45 minutes, split up into 4/5 minute chunks in each section, before heading out on the Street set for as long as you want! At Weekends there is the market down at 'Old Granada Studios' end of the site aswell, with food stalls and other events throughout the year.

Elsewhere onsite were 'The Vault' nightclub and Unsworth News

When were these used onscreen, can anyone remember?
