I dont think they're using the new exterior set yet, but Dev's is definately new

They were on the exterior set during Friday's episodes.

There hasn't been a wide shot of the new set, but the bit at Eileens on Friday where they were playing with the pointing, and Liz outside the Rovers last night were at MediaCity - we saw the new, recessed ginnel between No1 and the Rovers.

The lighting is so different in the Rovers now. It's darker, probably more realistic but I'm not sure what to make of it. It doesn't seem like the Rovers.

How can that be when it is obvious the new set appeared at least last night when they showed you Liz outside the rovers and the new ginnel with the gate which is on the new set; the other houses also looked new too from the outside.

I feel sometimes Sharon Marshall thinks she knows it all when maybe they keep some things from her.

Sorry, but you're totally wrong and Sharon Marshall is totally right. The exterior set has not appeared on-screen yet.

We did see a shot (I think Friday) of Gary and Owen in the van when another car drove past them. I assumed - and I'm sure others here did too - that it was the new set because press releases said "for the first time", two cars could drive down the street.

There are subtle changes to windows, doors etc on the new set which were not there last Friday or this Monday, so I assume those were still from the exterior set at Quay Street. I'm sure cars have been able to pass each other on the street before but only *just* - it'll be a lot more realistic looking at MediaCity for sure!

I'm certain that Ben Shatliff's comment about the new set making an appearance on Monday was incorrect - the miniscule proportions of the Rovers gave it away completely. The pub looks positively gargantuan on the new set. Here's a publicity still of the aforementioned Rovers scene from Monday night:

Compare with a shot of the same area from MediaCity:

Yes that was my thinking when I posted previously about it. It was Friday.

Just for argument's sake could the photo with Tony Warren have been taken first and the second one after some authentic work was done as the new set does have differences which we have not seen on the old set. The Rovers scene last night and then Jason coming out of his house; all new shots of the street.

If we are seeing the full new street then next week; will we get new titles?

No, the scenes from Monday were not shot on the new set - just compare the two pics I posted. The doors are completely different dimensions! The door frame is also a hell of a lot wider on the new set. And look at the tiles surrounding the doors. There are only two columns of tiles on the right-hand side of the doors in the first picture, and just over three columns of tiles on the new set.
