When are we likely to see scenes of the new set on our screens?

Just been reading that they're opening the Quay Street set for tours to the public in April... didn't realise they stopped filming there in Dec...

Absolutely ridiculous. Thelma Barlow played Mavis Riley for 26 years. I don't see how Les Dennis who looks nothing like her can come in and supposedly be the same character. If Thelma Barlow didn't want to come back then neither should the character in my opinion.

How he got the part? I don't reeaaally know!

Bill Roache found not guilty on all charges.

This must be a relief for anyone involved in the programme, a different verdict would have ensured the history of the show was more or less whitewashed with things like the first ever episode and The Road to Coronation Street unlikely to aired again.

Indeed. It's nice to know that the stalwart of the show can again be looked upon as an icon and a different outcome would have pretty much ruined the history of the show.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing him back on our screens, indeed he won't be familiar with the new surroundings of Salford so it will all be very different for him.

It seems that last night, there was a few new sets shown, one seemed to be the Corner Shop
*

and the other was the cab office

These at Media City I assume?

Yeah, though I'm not to sure about the corner shop, but since we've never seen the fourth wall of the shop before, I assume it must be at the new set. The Streetcars one is definately new though, because the Streetcars set is actually housed inside the streetcars building this time.

I'm sure we have seen the shop's fourth wall.

Will we officially start seeing the new exterior set next week then as ITV have a special programme about it next Thursday at 9PM and TV TImes are doing a feature too? Although it does not say when we will see it.

You've contradicted yourself about when we will see it! Shocked

Wonder whether they'll just leave viewers to play spot the difference or whether they'll be a little hint in the script that something has changed.
