It would have to be edited for compliance with the law but not to protect the public's perception of Michael Le Vell. Although with both Coronation Street and I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here being made by ITV Productions, it probably wouldn't be such an issue as if he was going to appear on Big Brother or something.

I thought the phrase was: "Innocent unless proven guilty"?

Nope, it is definitely innocent until proven guilty, which is just another way of expressing the legal principle of the presumption of innocence which I explained above.

You're quite right; it is, legally speaking. I just feel it ought to be "unless"-- since "until" implies a probablity of guilt.

Either way, I'm glad Michael Le Vell is to return.

No need to apologise, it's just as relevant in this thread too.

It does look great, but I have noticed something. You can see the tower of the IWM North sticking up above the viaduct. How will they disguise that during street-length shots?

I'd assume they'll digitally edit it out in post production, perhaps even add the occasional CGi'd tram going by.

According to a quote in that article by a spokesman from the buyers of the Granada TV lot . . .

Quote:
"We will seek to protect the heritage assets and ensure this whole area is developed in a holistic and sensitive way."

Is it safe to assume "heritage assets" means the 1982-2013 Corrie set won't be demolished and redeveloped?

IIRC ... it was reported earlier this year the Quay Street site had been sold to IKEA. What happened to that deal?
