It was good to see Eileen Derbyshire back as Emily Bishop last night. First on-screen appearance since just after the Rovers Fire if I am correct.

Good to see inside the house too and also a storyline for Emily.

I wonder why we have not see her for a while? I know she sometimes takes breaks but not this long.

Maybe she had injured herself, perhaps by falling off a step-stool whilst cleaning her windows.

The continuity announcer promised racist language in tonights first episode of Coronation Street, so if that is something that might interest you, get ITV on now.

I don't think they could have chosen a more obscure racist phrase to use! I had to look it up!

I actually found it more racist that Ken had gone to see Adam because he'd blacked up. It was only when I re-watched it I realised that Deidre said 'blacked out'.

Sorry I can't say. It contained racist language which some viewers might find offensive.

Well if ITV can get away with it, in the context of discussing it the broadcast, I don't see why there would be a problem.

Just being sarcastic! He said "don't play the white man" to a white man and just as two black characters walked in and the whole pub went deathly silent, presumably because everyone was trying to remember what that phrase actually meant.

Suppose this is the start of Fireman Paul's exit storyline isn't it?
