It happens in Episode 1 in 1960 when Annie Walker is talking to Dennis Tanner and Ken Barlow, the camera shows the studio wall and black curtain where the set ends. Used to happen a lot more in the 'as live' recorded days although even then making two a week they didn't go back and re-start with such mistakes so I don't suppose its much to do with the turnaround.

I guess the biggest mistake is from a Christmas one, I think 1970, the boom mic hits a light with a bang, then flashes into a mirror which flashes into the camera and they carry on regardless.

Neighbours often pan from one side of the set to another showing the end of the walls. It happens on the set of number 30 and number 26.

Today's developments with regards to the arrest of Bill Roache will be worrying for Corrie bosses to say the least a lot of Coronation Street's history is a threat at the moment.

They also have decide whether he's removed from the programme for the time being or not.

EDIT: Daily Mail suggesting he won't appear whilst the investigation is on going, not sure this has been confirmed but I would imagine it's the case.

In terms of what's relevent to a Coronation Street discussion thread on this forum yes. We can't speculate on the case, just how the current situation effects the show.

Not an 'insider' but spoilers indicate he was due to appear during Friday's episodes at least.

I forget, is this the Justice System Speculation Forum, or TV Forum?

Unless he is in a storyline, he goes months where he either doesn't appear at all, or appears in a very minor way. Shouldn't be hard to write out for a bit.

Yes, that's EXACTLY what's important here, and important to ITV I expect.

They have consistently built Corrie's history on and around Bill's shoulders and to many fans he IS Coronation Street. As Corrie is ITV's highest rating programme, I would say they have every right to be worried about the possible damage to the reputation of this very valuable brand.
