Does anyone actually like the titles anyway?

Me and I think you've the point.

What do you mean "you've the point"?

You've missed the point, and I missed the word missed.

What point have I missed?

Did you mean the bit about Manchester? I so, what I meant by that is that not many people may not be able to recognise the city centre what with the almighty blur. If they want to show Manchester then they should reduce the blur by about 100%

Come to think of it though, why do they show Manchester anyway? I know that the show is set in Manchester but after all the show is called 'Coronation Street' so why not go basic and only show the street? Or if what we read is true about the show incorporating surrounding streets then why not include them into the titles?

Why should the blur be reduced to accommodate the few?

By that logic, Eastenders should only show pictures of people from the East End in their titles.

I'm not sure titles are explicitly trying to sell Corrie as a Manchester soap.

Fair point! I just feel that the need updating!

Well maybe when they do update them, the ITV logo will be integrated properly. At the moment, it's too bright, brighter than the Coronation Street name, and that's a distraction.

Yeah, for me the ITV logo should be shown for 3 seconds at the beginning of the titles. Same for all the other shows! Having the show logo plus the ITV logo is far too distracting.

Totally agree.

And yes I know it might be difficult but why can't the logo have the colour matching effect on the titles?

To be slightly pedantic the soap is set in the City of Salford and not City of Manchester, although the set is literally just inside Manchester (with salford on teh otherside of the River Irwell), whereas the new set will be just literally just inside Trafford (with Salford on the other side of the Manchester Ship Canal!)

Hang on.

Im reading this as he's being edited out of yet to be transmitted episodes.

Does anyone in the know, know how heavily he was likely to be featured in those episodes?

I know in the last episode I saw, he'd allowed Tyrone to take his baby!

Well it's moved on a bit since then, but, the Investisgation into the kidnapping is ongoing and obviously Kevin is involved in that, having let Tyrone take the baby. I didn't notice that the episodes were short though were they?

I didnt notice the episodes being short either, but i did think some of the scenes in Fridays were a bit filler, especially some of the Roy and Sylvia scenes so im wondering if stuff that was originally on the cutting room floor was reinstated to replace scenes featuring Kevin.

I don't think so, Kevin hadn't been on all week, and the Tyrone storyline has now moved into the background and will probably continue to be until such time as the trial/new evidence comes in. His part in the Tyrone storyline has been superseded by events anyway.

To be pedantic, the soap is set in Weatherfield, a fictional town based upon Salford.
