Perhaps Hayley could decide to become a man again and they could bring in a new male actor to play him. This would be perfect, it would keep two popular characters in the show and also give Hayley and Roy a big storyline.

I've only just seen this. But great idea, and it's a not an unheard of occurrence. Perhaps it could start of with her going to local football matches and escalate from there?

I think they let women go to footy matches these days, don't they? Wink

According to The Sun . . .

Rovers Reburn
Corrie pub inferno... as Sunita dies.

CORRIE pub The Rovers Return is to be reduced to a burnt-out shell by a fire that kills Sunita Alahan.

Other key characters will risk their lives trying to save those trapped inside
as the iconic Street boozer is left “utterly devastated”.

. . . so should be taken with a large-ish pinch of salt.

They're moving to new set.

]Gutting the Rovers in a fire provides a handy excuse for a totally redone interior.

They've done it once before. So it's plausible, but I'll believe it when I see it!

WOW! It's great how that spoiler tag can be well and truly ignored by some!

It's just a rumour. And as I said, while it seems plausible, it's probably not correct. What's the chances that Sunita will leave in a Streetcars taxi instead?

It's being reported by a good number of rather more respectable sources including The Independent and the Radio Times. I think we can take it to be true.

Rumour or not, I think it should still be in spoiler tags to save people who don't want to read rumours.

Brilliant episode of Corrie tonight. Nearly up there with the Richard Hillman saga.

I wouldn't go that far but they were great tonight. Funny, dramatic and sad all at once. Coronation Street at its best.

I am probably going to get some stick for this, but I thought I would go ahead and post it anyway. Tommorow (as you may know) Corrie is on at 9.30pm. I think ITV have put it their because the recent controversy surrounding ITV's decision to show Corrie at 7pm on the night of the NTA's. After this they came with "Our viewers expect to see Coronation Street on Wednesday". So I think they have put it at 9.30 to "back this up" and "prove it
wasn't a one-off". I might be wrong, as there is a big storyline but sorry if im wrong.

And, of course, the schedules are not formatted weeks in advance, therefore a bit of rash and rushed decision then!
