Izzy Armstrong was eating cheese on toast while watching an ITV regional news magazine this evening. We didn't see the programme but we did hear it (including theme tune). I don't think Izzy saw much of the programme either as people were fussing over her and then Julie Carp came in with some flowers and kind words.

You didn't even need to recognise the presenters' voices, Corrie is made and set in Manchester, and that's the local news programme there.

Just case anybody is interested in what happened to Anteh Pam, she's now running the CAB at Letherbridge in BBC Doctors.

On the subject of the Salford move, it seems we will see more of Viaduct Street and Rosamund Street, according to Digital Spy.

Underworld, of course! Wink

I actually can't wait to see the set once it's finished. They're using real reclaimed brick for the terrace/backyards, aren't they? Pretty exciting to see the progress.

The thread was pulled - probably down to it being so publically linked to on this site. Don't roll your eyes Steve, it looks horrible.

I wasn't expecting real bricks either, but I guess they figure its worth the additional expense.

I think it's great they've taken the trouble to use reclaimed bricks in the construction of the new set. I saw a few of the pictures before that thread was closed - and the bricks used for the terrace, arches and yards really do seem to be a perfect match to the ones on the current backlot.
