What have they done to Ryan Connor? Fair enough that he's a different actor (brought in much like Rob, to try and boost viewing figures) but didn't know he'd had a drastic personality transplant too!

That always happens when they change the actor.

Hmmm not necessarily... Nick Tilsley?

To be fair, university does change people, it makes them more outgoing, before he went there he spent most of his time at home.

I totally agree there was never a hint of this kind of personality when he was first around, people don't change so drastically in 2 years! But how old is Ryan? I was under the impression that he was the same age as Sian and Sophie? I think if they wanted this storyline with a character going of the rails if you like why not bring in Michelle's real son, Alex. Casting our minds back a few years, the baby swap plot which we now supposed to forget!

There were many occasions when old Ryan was around when it was plain to see that the baby swap storyline was supposed to have been erased from memory, never mind now.
Orr yeah I know that! But I'm just saying if they wanted to change him so much they could have brought Alex back in, and the recasting (if needed) wouldn't of been that obvious. And it could have been more believable as I'm sorry this is so out of character for Ryan, uni or no uni!

He's 20 - Sophie is 17. And he hasn't changed that much actually. When he first appeared, he vandalised the Kabin.

I'd guess Laura Johnsons parents said the same thing!

I hate it when the writers don't us certain locations! Like for instance the rovers upstairs, the actually living area!, the kebab shop, the flat above the kebab shop (Michelle's flat), Julie and Brian's flat, we never see inside the fish shop, the medical centre is under used! The kebab shop on annoys me when it opened everyone used to be in but now no one in Weatherfield gets a pizza or kebab?! Unrealiastic!
Also on a similar note, when is anything going to happen with the butchers? There was an estate agent showing people round before I remember, but how wa sit explained, is Clare selling it with the estate agent taking care of it?
Locations are used and dropped all the time in soaps depending on the storylines. The kebab shop once had a family centred around it, but since they left why should it feature as a location just for the sake of it ? Do we really need to see Norris popping in after a night on the pull to order a donner kebab with extra chilli sauce just to remind us that its still there ?
Furthermore, why should anything happen with the empty butchers shop ? Look around, there are streets full of empty shops.
If it involves a storyline like that, then yes, yes we do.
In fact it was actually mentioned tonight, by Ryan!

Made even more ridiculous by the fact that the actor is 25 and Kym Marsh is 36. They look more like brother and sister in some scenes. His personality transplant is completely unbelievable, university or not.
And no matter how much airtime they give to the Sunita/Karl story at the minute (brilliant scene tonight though with the whole street out, purely because thats exactly what happens in real life and is so overlooked in some shows), the real main storyline is Roy & Mary! I'm really enjoying watching this one unfold, I wonder if she'll kidnap Roy and take him hostage like she did to Norris
