Anyone agree the reading of Betty's moving final words was classic Corrie at it's best?

Definitely. I thought the scene at the end, where we heard Betty 'beyond the grave' and then fading to her photo, was a superb tribute.

Just saw it online on Youtube. Fantastic ending. Loved it and a fitting tribute to Betty.

Meanwhile Rupert Murdoch sports that face yet is just a year older.

Loved the Bohemian Rhapsody sing-along with Norris, Mary, Anna and Roy in tonights episode. Even down to how they were sat and the camera angle was just like the Queen video, classic Corrie humour Very Happy

When Dick Clark died, I was thinking about how much worse he and Regis Philbin looked compared to Des O'Connor and Ken Barlow.

I don't know if in general American based octogenarian male celebrities look older or younger than the UK ones.

Bruce Forsyth does look his age, but he's looked that age for about the last 40 years.

Dunno, Jon. This is almost as entertaining as Bruce.

Loved that - first bit of Corrie I've seen in ages but just sums it up beautifully - you can tune in and raise a smile rather than seek for the nearest cliff to jump off as you would if you accidently catch a few seconds of EastEnders.

Just randomly, unless I blinked and missed them, but noticed Hayley and Steve for example listed in the credits when they rolled tonight, is that normal to credit them when they weren't in the episode?
