Noticed today that a lot of the steel framing for the new buildings has gone up on the new Corrie set at MediaCityUK, too tall to be for the houses. Many cranes have also been put in place over the weekend, so I assume we'll start seeing quick progress on the buildings.
How quickly can a fake house be created for an external set?
I was just thinking, you can actually build a real house fairly quickly, and that has to have all the necessary services.
I assume all these houses have is a power supply for any internal lighting effects, but I wouldn't expect them to have anything other than rudimentary floors for the actors to stand on for upper floor shots looking through a window to be seen from outside.
Is there an estimated date for Corrie to begin filming at the new site?

Whodunnit's if done well are generally good for soaps, but this doesn't seem a particularly good one.
The recent Emmerdale one I thought was really good and had a surprising outcome - I'm not expecting that here.
It will be a disposable character - either the mother or more likely the new girlfriend - the woman referred to a few pages back who's been negotiating the deal with Carla.
Not sure when the move to the new studios takes place, but according to this article, they are going to start to get a further 5 weeks ahead with episodes over the course of the next year, stockpiling up to 10 weeks of episodes ready for the move.
Personally, my theory (I'm likely way off the mark) but I recon Jenny (Franks new bit on the side) came back and walked in on Frank and Carla's confrontation tonight in the factory and heard and seen the way he went on with Carla and admitting to the rape (Jenny seems to believe that Franks telling the truth) and turns nasty!!
Also, how did Sally get to the factory?! Michelle wasn't seen leaving, she could have been hiding in the office or something! Haha! Peter was in no fit state to stand up never mind murder anyone! But as mentioned I can't see it been a regular unless they aren't found out! But that would go against the typical soap story if you like! Characters always get their comeuppance, eventually.
But Andrew Lancel and Sally Dynevor have said in the press that they knew already who was the culprit, which suggests to me anyways that's it a straightforward conclusion.
Verdict;
It was all of them! Carla was alone in the factory, Jenny came back, disgusted to learn Frank did rape Carla, Michelle was still there, the mum came to patch it up but also was disgusted about the rape, Peter stumbled in and Kevin and Sally went to have it out with him! And they all ganged up on him and brought the poisonous man to his death!
lol the dish made me laugh, but it did make think "hang on it's only the soaps pubs that don't have a tv in them" I wonder if we will get to see the person killing Frank? like they go back and show it etc.
So, Munro and Archer are the prime suspects in my mind. The writers are clearly dropping hints that one of them may have killed Foster. Munro looked a little shady when the black ambalance went past, he blamed it on his acrophobia but that could be a lie. Archer's former criminal past was also mentioned quite a bit in the episode tonight too.
The only thing that makes me think it probably isn't Munro, is the fact that one scene was clearly pointing to a future storyline where he enters a Stella shouting contest, so he probably can't be the murderer. Unless we get to see him in prison and the Stella shouting contest is open to lags only of course.

Now, about this TV and satellite dish. Could someone explain how Steve is able to pick up the audio from the channel that is being shown in the pub? Also, how is it possible to change the channel from up on the roof? This doesn't really make sense to me.

Yet some more creative (and very incorrect) thinking by TV writers. Also begs the question why the props department thought it would be a good idea to have such a big dish, have they not seen a Sky dish?
