The sponship is better than it has been previously, I got bored of seeing those characters and the sparkles and those super slow mo ones were worst still, These current ones have a bit of the Corrie humour in them, Still nowhere near as good though as when Cadbury was the sponsor, They used to make a real effort

I still shout at the TV every time that they argue who gets to sit on the sofa even though they have two.. It really winds me up! Very Happy

I want the current sponsorship advert to change, what happened to the ones that they used for years with harveys which had a jingle to them and the ones launched in August with a beat which was also good. This argument over the sofa needs changing, it is no good at all.

Great to see storylines for Emily and Rita too, they are underused and it is good to see them appearing in more episodes.

I'm enjoying the humour in Coronation Street at the moment, the conflict between David and Owen is good, The whole christmas dinner sulk between Rita and Emily was funny too, Its good to see they are having a happier christmas this year unlike Eastenders who will be as miserable and depressing as ever

I have not got bored yet with the current titles, I love that end shot looking over the roofs in the sunset/sunrise

I disagree, the current Harveys sponsorship stings are the worst since they started sponsoring the show. "Trowling up the weeds" indeed.

What sponsorship?

I start the Sky+ recording from half way through the titles. Why would I intentionally do anything else?

They are bloody awful - I don't think I've liked any of the Harvey's sponsorship stings at all.

Ah... golden days when all was right with the world... Smile

Everyone remembers the Cadbury chocolate street! Must be some of the most memorable sponsorship ads ever created.

They're the best that Coronation Street have had, it's still on exhibit on-screen if you visit Cadbury World in Birmingham. The biggest mistake they made with Chocolate Street was that they never re-edited/re-recorded properly for widescreen use, as they looked pretty bad when they were cropped in 2002.

I agree with what everyone says, The Harvey sponsorship has never been anywhere near as good as the Cadbury ones, they used to make a real effort, What do we have now some people sitting on a sofa saying Corrie, that's the only way they are linked at all

I didn't like the last lot with the beat and a super slow mo of a woman removing a bag from a table etc, The animated characters when they were introduced were good, I liked it when they did things when the humans left the room but I got fed up of seeing the same thing over and over again and those sparkles with the tune

I think the current lot are ever so slightly better than the last lot but only because they involve a bit of comedy and it actually mentions the programme its sponsoring as opposed to a bag being slowly picked up off a table

Really? I think the current Sponsor stings are dire, not funny, simply cringeworthy. Obviously nothing will beat those 'Friday Feeling' et al Cadbury stings but it's got to the point where I mute the sound/fast forward and end up missing some of the first few seconds of a scene thanks to a gammy sky+ box just to avoid them!

For anyone else who hasn't seen the new sponsorship stings:

Apparently the sponsorship sting is meant to be "funny", according to the title. Well it isn't, and what's the colour desaturation and generally gloomy ambiance all about? It's like watching through smog with cataracts. Horrid.
