I liked tonights Corrie, it was an experiment, so it wasn't perfect, I liked it still though, we finally saw everything from Peter's point of view, all the subtle hints of alcohol all the way through.

Was rather strange I must admit. Not sure whether I liked it or not. Also was it just me or was there some Incidental music when he finally had a swig from the bottle of vodka? Don't usually get that either. Will be interesting tonight to see how they commemorate the tram crash.
Corrie ( and the other soaps for that matter) have had a boring few months in all honestly (bar the Carla storyline), but Corrie seems to have improved in the last couple of weeks.
Back on the note of the new set, a lot of the portakabins and building vehicles were setup on their plot at MediaCity this week, so I expect the buildings to be going up soon.

Wonder how they'll cover the changeover between outdoor sets?
If it had been this time last year, the tram crash would've been the perfect occasion to changeover.
they didn't do it 30 years ago with the change to the current set, you just saw len showing Rita the 'gap' he'd brought to build the new number 7 in, then a few months later there's the 'new' street with a shiny new number seven in the middle
and the factory's moved slightly and there's suddenly a ginnel between the pub and number one, so there may be subtle changes like number four will suddenly acqure a first floor over the bit the front door is in so that the stairs behind it can actually go somewhere
it will be really exciting watching it all being built

I hope you're going to take regular photos of the development for us from some suitable vantage point, Steve!
no, don't live anywhere near the place, I'm just guessing the media will have lots of photos as would people with cameras and access to a near by vantage point
I'm enjoying the humour in Coronation Street at the moment, the conflict between David and Owen is good, The whole christmas dinner sulk between Rita and Emily was funny too, Its good to see they are having a happier christmas this year unlike Eastenders who will be as miserable and depressing as ever
I have not got bored yet with the current titles, I love that end shot looking over the roofs in the sunset/sunrise
The sponship is better than it has been previously, I got bored of seeing those characters and the sparkles and those super slow mo ones were worst still, These current ones have a bit of the Corrie humour in them, Still nowhere near as good though as when Cadbury was the sponsor, They used to make a real effort
