looks like the lower story of that bridge is a facade on a hinge and can be lifted to get high vehicles through, you can see it's on an angle and there is a rope on the right attatched to a pulley

you are right chewie the bridge is different on the new set, probably because it will have to hide the bonded warehouse façade and not a whole building

Especially since the street has its own Wine Bar now xD

Here's a bunch of pics of the new set

How many more times must we have this boring old storyline?

Wine bars stopped being "trendy" in about 1989. Can't remember the last time I saw one.

Do Yates still call themselves "wine bars"?

Wine Lodges, wasn't it?

I think most of them went out of business, although I think there may be one or two operating.

EDIT: They still seem to be operating http://www.weareyates.co.uk/ , most the ones round here closed. No Wine Lodge branding as far as I can see, from the few times I went in one they seemed no different to Wetherspoons.

I see they're reusing the town center/tram station set next week

We could start a book on how long Julie Goodyear will last before she goes off sick with exhaustion?

Peter Barlow doesn't seem to be in Corrie much, we really should see him more often Laughing

A shame TV Burp isn't still on as Harry could have had Peter Barlow appearing in loads of other shows.

Indeed - a strange episode tonight. Must be the first time they've done an episode like that. We've obviously had the episodes such as when Richard confessed to Gail which focused just on the two characters, but they remained in the same set.

I didn't like it at the start but got into it towards the end, so long as this doesn't become a common thing on Corrie...

Probably because the promotion they've created hardly inspires me to go. Haven't really got a clue what it's about really.

As of a few minutes ago, Corrie is now 51 years old!
