Eccles died in the flat fire, I think...

It just struck me that until recently many characters had pets: Maria with Ozzy, Tryone Monica, Jack and his pigeons... yet apart Schmeichel, we don't see characters with pets anymore on Coro. Perhaps it's tight filming schedules that have ended the practice.

I'm almost 100% certain that's not true - the flat fire was a while ago now and I've definitely seen the dog since. Why would Eccles have been in the flat in the first place?

I think Eccles is still about and is just mainly unseen.

The rabbit died in the flat fire. I don't think Eccles has actually been written out.

No, Leanne survived the fire but died at a later date after Peter found his dead 'rabbit body' in the hutch.

Dierdre and Ken are hardly on much thesedays, so appearances by Eccles aren't going to be very high.

Yes, Leanne was male.

In my defence that rabbit was never the same after the fire and totally lost the flair and bubbly personality it became known for. So it might as well have been dead.

Currently in Australia and there's a channel showing coronation street from around the time Clare and Ashley got together. Maria is with Nick and Mike Baldwin is interviewing candidates for some job role.

Is that on 7TWO? I know UK-TV (a pay-tv channel) are showing more recent episodes - they used to be about 18 months or so behind the UK.

Yeah, this is on 7TWO. Mike Baldwin is even alive! lol There's quite a few British programmes on this station too.
