Can somebody please clear this up regarding the Fiz Stape trial? Exactly why was Fiz accused of the murder of Charlotte Hoyle when she was firstly in the pub the night of the tram crash and then giving birth. Is that not a good enough alibi? With no evidence to suggest she had anything to do with it I can't see why she was accused?

Did the writers not think of this?
I agree with you here. At least she wasn't convicted of it in the end!
Another thing was when John fell off the hospital roof and there was no police officers or medical staff on the ground.. If the police had been there like they would have been in reality Fiz would probably not have been wrongly convicted. (Obviously it was for the benefit of the storyline but just seemed a bit implausible to me.)
Haha! I wouldn't have minded that, I worked as an extra for a while and hardly had any work coming in! There's a need for more people milling around on set.
Talking about extras.. the extras did look very out of place in that scene in the pub last night with the factory workers talking to Sally. They always just nod their heads and look at each other. I think for the benefit of that scene they would have been better off not being there.
There were some CGI fireworks at the end of Coronation Street this evening, however viewers of ITV1 SD were instead treated to a trailer for the back end of a bus or some other nonsense.
