So has Mars got to pay up more for the privilege?
No, because steddenm is somehow mistaken. It did not had a sponsor on Wednesday or Thursday. What made you ask, did it have a sponsor today?
No your somewhat mistaken, There was a Sponser Last night on Thursday ( M&M) yellow bag got the last say last night,.

It certainly had tonight.
Doesn't it usually get the generic "Saturday night on ITV is sponsored by Goodfellas" or whatever rather than specific to the programme?

I'm sure all week it's been sponsored by MSF?
The generic Goodfella's one is used when programming has been altered or changed. On a Saturday night each individual programme is seperately sponsored...
Harry Hill's TV Burp is Mars Snack Foods
You've Been Framed is Mitsubishi Cars (UK) Ltd
Britain's Got Talent is Domino's Pizzas
MSF wouldn't need to pay for the additional advertising during the programme as they're edited onto the tape/file before it airs, and wouldn't know that the programme was being re-broadcasted ahead of the schedule change.
