I found it quite irritating tonight how many references and shots were seen to what they were watching on television, was it to fill time or something?


I hope we get to see Rosie Webster on Lorraine Kelly's ITV Breakfast: Daybreak with Lorraine tonight. I expect you hope we don't get to see such a thing.

Haha great captures. Is that from the 'Just Rosie' spin off or will it be in one of the main corrie episodes?It does look rather funny!

It is from Just Rosie. I didn't watch it all but from what I did see it was like an episode of The Simpsons in that everything was back to normal by the end, so as not to affect the main Coronation Street plot I suppose. During the episode she was sacked as a model but then got her job back by the end of it. It was also revealed that no one in Weatherfield saw her television appearances as they were 'all working' so I guess no one will mention it in the main programme either.

What do they normally do on ITV2? Maybe this is to avoid having to make new EOP titles or showing erroneous titles on ITV2 (where it is continued after the break, not in half an hour) and where ever else Coronation Street is shown.

On the ITV2 showing they used to have it as above, but as of about a month ago they have nothing but the logo.

I'm guessing that's the reason then, to save on re-edits for ITV2 repeats.

Indeed - and I'm sure there has been a period where the announcer remained quiet. Makes more sense for her to just tell us it's back in half an hour.

Newer posts
