I think that Corrie have handled that really well tonight. Very good acting from Andrew Lancel, Alison King & Samia Smith.

What video game were Tyrone and that woman playing tonight?

Thanks but I don't recognise the game. Does anyone know what it is called?

Also, what were Kirk and Maria watching on television tonight? It was a programme about a dog (called Arthur) learning to swim. I think he was 4 years old.

EDIT : The dog was actually 14 weeks old, so a puppy.

EDIT : Turns out the game was Halo: Reach - Invasion. So, just the dog programme to identify now.

Didn't see Corrie, but don't they use something out of the Granada archive?

(Obviously not too old. Pretty sure they've used old Granada news stuff in the past!)

In the episodes tonight they used what appears to be a real internet only shopping channel, a real video game, a reference to a real search engine (Google) and this dog swimming programme.

Regarding the legality of this, surely it's just a case of plugging something without getting paid? I understand that on the BBC they all drink Cola, use Websearch and shop at Buy and Save, but why does Corrie have to avoid brands? Obviously there'd be a product placement P if it were for money.

I found it quite irritating tonight how many references and shots were seen to what they were watching on television, was it to fill time or something? It's lost on me but there was no need for a full frame shot of the game! How many times has David Platt been on a 'games console' and we've never had the joys of seeing what he's been playing!

Did anyone else think that Peter Barlow looked like a young Adolf Hitler in the the first episode tonight? The scene when he returned to the flat and argued with Leanne could have been a scene between Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun.

I hope we get to see Rosie Webster on Lorraine Kelly's ITV Breakfast: Daybreak with Lorraine tonight. I expect you hope we don't get to see such a thing.

I think I could make an exception for that! Laughing
