A clip was used of Penny Smith, speaking about Deirdre in prison...Penny worked on a show/station called GMTV.

That Paul O'Grady has a lot to answer for! It was a running joke in Lily's stand-up routine about Coro, about Tracey-luv as a teenager listening to her tapes-- occasionally Paul still refers to it-- along with the mystery shopper in the Kabin (an extra who used to rifle through the cards there)
Loved the 'in-joke' scene tonight with Tracey playing her tapes.

I am watching Coronation Street again religiously now since just before the Tram Crash and I too have noticed how some characters seem to come and go, for instance what is the agreement now for Eileen Derbyshire and Barbara Knox? I love Rita and Emily however they do not appear all the time, I am pleased we had a good few weeks of seeing Rita but Emily seems to appear less. I may be wrong but it is a great shame. We haven't even seen inside number three Coronation Street (Emily & Norris's) at all this year and there was a great opportunity missed when Rita stayed there after the tram crash as it would have been interesting seeing the three of them living together.
I think Stephanie Cole is brilliant as Sylvia and great to see Dennis Tanner back, but we need to see more of the older characters.

The Corrie programme tonight was good.
Deirdrie has had some fab specs down the years.

Given her taste in men over the years, she should've gone to Specsavers

Roy "Archie the undertaker" Hudd appeared in Doctors today, in a comedy-farce storyline about the death of a twin brother. It makes me wonder if Roy Hudd, soaps and the deceased all go hand-in-hand!
