One for trivia fans...

The lady John was in the hospital lift with, was actress Enid Dunn. Who in real life is Antony "Sean" Cotton's mother... I think she's had a cameo in Coro before. Such nepotism Laughing

Yes, the Weatherfield Police, now there is a force that must be massively under performing. The ground level would surely have been swarming with coppers during that roof top stand off.

GMP hasn't been the same, since Gene Hunt left

I don't think she's been in the actual show, but she was definitely in The Road to Coronation Street.

I noticed that was Antony's mum too. I think she has appeared in Corrie once before as well?!

Corrie needs to get some new storyline threads running now, this week looks slow with the yawnfest that is Graeme and Xin, and the arrival once again of Dev's aunties.

Sooner that pair go the better. Oh, and get rid of Dev and the aunts at the same time.

Hopefully the introduction of Stella should bring some much needed new storylines.

I'm sure the two stories from this week will continue into next week. They probably aren't mentioned in the listings much to avoid causing spolers.

Yes, they usually put something like "the residents of the street are left shocked by recent events" or something like that to stop giving away the outcome! Smile

Coronation street (or whatever soap) will never be the same again Confused

never understood what that's meant to mean, soaps are continuing dramas, they are changing all the time, they never stay 'the same'

Looks like Carla's going to be beaten up by Frank Foster.

More unneeded 9pm episodes on the way then... I couldn't care less about this story. I think Carla has become far less likeable since she became an alcoholic and tried to split up Peter and Leanne.

The scenes will be, without question, the most violent seen on the cobbles.

I think The People have made some of that up. I.e it's very strange how the suggestion of another week of 9pm episodes has appeared now, when the journalist has last week's 9pm episodes fresh in their mind.

I guess a lot less graphic version of what they are suggesting will air at the normal time.

No it's likely that there will be a week of 9pm episodes again around Septemeber time to conicde with Red or Black. Apparently Red & Black will have a the same timings as like BGT this week I.e 7:30 - 9:00, Corrie, then R&B 9:30 - 10:00. Meant to mention it the other day on here, but forgot.
