Also don't think it's been mentioned much on this thread, but some scheduling changes, like last year for BGT.
On Sunday at 7pm and then 9pm Monday - Friday. Why they add that extra Sunday one to confuse people I don't know! As their not loosing any episodes that week as they still end up with 5. I'm sure they added a random Sunday episode before the 9pm episodes last year that didn't really need to be part of the 9pm week. Lets hope the scheduling change works this time, unlike last year with the Cumbria Murders, I bet there crossing their fingers that their isn't any form of seige/hostage situation that week!!

I really like them now although there's a couple of things I'd change. Firstly, I'd change the first two shots to shots actually around Coronation Street, and secondly, I'd update the bit with the Rovers so that you can see Nick's Bistro rather than the boarded up bar. Other than that they're great.
Apparently the opening titles are a year old today - how time flies!!
I've got quite used to them really, what's everyone elses thoughs???

I was hoping Corrie's new opening titles since last May had been introduced in a way so that they could be updated
as and when needed. They became outdated within months of their debut, as soon as Nick reopened The Joinery
before the eventual gas explosion and subsequent tram crash disaster zone that it caused.
Now with The Joinery fully rebuilt and rebranded as Nick's Bistro, and the two other businesses that had been so
badly damaged by the falling LRV now long since rebuilt, repaired and back in business as though nothing had happened, that opening title sequence is in dire need of being updated.
If they ever changed the colours and font used on the Rovers Return signage, highly unlikely perhaps, but if they
did, we'd still see the close-up of the classic gold lettering on a green background in the opening titles.

Thought the coming soon bit at the end of today episode was really good... I hope they do this more often.

Yeah, they first did it for the tram crash week last year, it works great, but I think if it was used too often it would lose its impact. I see they took a lot of care putting it together, the typography was also spot on, fitting well with the titles, wouldn't have seen that a few years ago!
