Toddly and Cream? Can someone enlighten me?

Early 1980's pop duo Godley and Creme ... IIRC had a song called "Under Your Thumb" back in 1981.

I noticed the coach station when Sean "arrived" in London (and departed from) was actually Manchester Central,
on Chorlton Street. Did ITV not get permission to record scenes at Victoria Coach Station (or the rather grotty
one used by Megabus over the road) in London, or didn't they bother to obtain permission?

Most likely done to save on costs

I doubt it, since Sean's other scenes in the episode were in London. I'm guessing it was more of permissions issue,
the owners of Victoria Coach Station and Green Line Coach Station wouldn't allow ITV to record scenes there.

But if you set aside say two days (I don't know how long it actually takes to create scenes but just for argument's sake) of intense filming and realise that you'd need an extra hour or so to do one in the coach station, you wouldn't pay out for more hotels etc if the scenes could be just done in Manchester. Why would the coach stations have a problem with a nationally-treasured television programme filming on their what are pretty much public premises.

Presumably Chorlton Street bus station isn't as busy as the ones in London, so perhaps purely on logistical grounds it was just easier to film in Manchester?

Anyone who's ever arrived at / departed from that coach station knows it would have taken Sean's friend about three seconds to run through the doors and up to the coach. Yet he just stood there banging on the window for what seemed like 10 minutes. I found it really incredible...

I think we're expected to believe he wouldn't get past passport control...

I'm sure the doors are only open when there is a boarding coach there?

I wondered why he didn't run to the coach, it's not like trying to get to a train passed the ticket barrier is it

was the house scenes with Jamie and Violet filmed in London, since they were not in a generally recognisable street it could have easily been any street in Manchester. Which is funny when you consider those characters are meant to be in London but the actors didn't actually go to London to film it

Also they were one half of 10CC in the 1970s-- and became video-produces after a brief foray as recording duo.

If that's the case, I did wonder initially whether a bit of 'green screen' might have been used, as the one scene featuring Sean & Marcus on the hill facing 'London' looked a little odd? (But I could be wrong?)

(Collinson likes his 'green screen' from Who!)

I would like to thank the ITV ignorants for spoiling that scene with John pushing Fizz against the wall, by putting up a flyer for the next programme which is of course the only reason anybody is watching ITV tonight, I'm deliberatly not watching it because I am sick of having it pushed in my face every evening for the last two weeks at every opportunity even going as far as spoiling corry with it on the end scene then over the end credits as well

I KNOW IT'S ON DOES NOT MEAN I AM GOING TO BLOODY WELL WATCH IT LIKE SOME ZOMBIFIED SHEEP Mad

sorry going to lie in a darkend room with some camomile tea now Embarassed
