Tonights show had promise but it was cut too short. Had it been an hour it would have been much better. Did anyone spot the paradox? It was a real blink and you'll miss it moment but they did show a shot of The London Studios Laughing .

Yep. I saw that too, but I did have to rewind the point in question to see it.

It was originally announced as an hour long, scheduling might have changed that, that said, I like the episode, people always say its weird that people in soaps never visit each other Razz I think the door for Violet's return has been swung wide open

I wouldn't say tonight's episode was poor, it was just rather rushed. Maybe it was meant to be an hour long episode after all.

Some scenes did make me chuckle, there were some rather subtle and typical Corrie humour in there tonight, for example the rather bizarre shot of Sean and Marcus on a bench in-between a giant teddy. Agreed it was all rather too fast though.

Regarding Roy's mum, not sure on her yet. She wont ever replace Blanche (which seems to be what they're trying to do). She seems too forced in her delivery.

Technically I thought the Home and Away style editing after the break was excellent...incidental music et all...this should be done far more

I thought the editing looked a bit 'Brookside', to be honest. ie cheap.

I really didn't like it. I know it was a 'special' episode but it felt so unbelievably out of place on Corrie.

I noticed the coach station when Sean "arrived" in London (and departed from) was actually Manchester Central,
on Chorlton Street. Did ITV not get permission to record scenes at Victoria Coach Station (or the rather grotty
one used by Megabus over the road) in London, or didn't they bother to obtain permission?

I think they missed a trick by not having Todd meet Nick

Early 1980's pop duo Godley and Creme ... IIRC had a song called "Under Your Thumb" back in 1981.

Exactly. Please none of this in Corrie.

There was some funny scenes, particularly with Gail who I felt should have been in the episode more. I liked the reference to Gail's blazers with the piping, which she has in an array of colours.
