Tracey Barlow's miscarriage of justice? she did it and was jailed until 2022 or whatever because the actress wanted to leave, then wanted to come back two years later Confused

why didn't Tracey recognised Amy's suitcase when Beccy said it was a new suit case, and how does she explain the clothes inside not to mention her passport Confused

and I thought from the pre Christmas previews that Max gets taken back into care, unless they film fourm months in advance now

the bank raid was shown last night and filmed around the first of march so they must film about six weeks in advance

They were excellent episodes last night, and a fine exit for Jim (if it was his final storyline). I assume that Liz now runs off to Spain to permanently run Andy's bar.

I really thought that Jim would commit suicide rather than spend the rest of his life in prison, so I did. Wink

I don't think there was an issue about Tracey possibly recognising Amy's suitcase. It was difficult enough for Steve to get hold of her passport: why would he risk taking a suitcase too, when it would be easy enough just to buy a new one?

We didn't see Tracey look inside the suitcase, so she wouldn't be aware that it was full of clothes.

Given that he has previous form, I'd expect a longer stretch than 10 years, so should mean the end of his Corrie career for some time. If not ever. Sad

I've lost track of Jim's custodial record now, so I have (sorry, couldn't resist...). I'm not sure if he's out on licence still, after his last spell inside, so he's probably a licence revokee now. I'd imagine he may well get more than 10 years for this incident on second thoughts, he may well get an extended stentence for public protection, given his past.

In any event, he'll be in the Beg Hice for a while yet, if you get the craic..

That seemed a bit low key for Liz's exit. But quite effective with the flashback voices.

Apparently there is a 'big announcement' being made about Corrie tomorrow, on it's Facebook page. Confused

I loved Liz's exit with the flashback voices etc. It was a bit rushed tho considering she has been such a long running character.

I bet the announcement is a big let down Rolling Eyes

Ha ha, what's the betting that the announcement is a huge anti-climax, after all this waiting? Oh well, we'll see tomorrow morning. Hopefully. Laughing

I thought Liz's exit was really well done - but I agree with Jez in that it felt too rushed. Liz is true Rovers-landlady material so it was sad to see her go. The flashbacks to old times - Alec Gilroy, Bet, young Steve and Andy, Jim etc - was unexpected and a really nice touch. Loved the night-time shots of the Street. A decent send-off for Liz, if a little rushed!

I agree a decent send off. That scene where her and Jim were arguing was one of my fave ever Liz scenes!

Exactly - very good news in my opinion. Laughing

I think it's unfair to judge Michelle Collins before she has actually appeared on screen (as some on the 'other side' are doing), so I'll reserve my own judgement. Who knows? She may turn out to be a classic Rovers landlady like Liz but we'll see.

In other news, Philip Lowrie was on This Morning just after 12pm (looking immensely good for someone in his mid-70s, I might add!). He confirmed that Dennis Tanner will be back on May 12. Don't know about anybody else, but I'm really looking forward to seeing his return. It's been such a long time since he was on screen, I hope they've got a juicy storyline for him. Wouldn't it be good to eventually have a 21st century Tanner family?

Also liking Sylvie Cropper, I think we're seeing her again in tonight's episodes. When she entered the cafe on Monday I had visions of Ena Sharples, Maud Grimes and Blanche Hunt all at once...

Is there a reason why they stopped using the 'exponentially-expanding' upstairs living area for such scenes?

I agree, could be a very good character. Laughing

From what I gather from Digital Spy's article, Steve and Becky won't be leaving the pub. It seems that Stella will be hired by them. Phil Collinson did say recently he has no plans to get rid of Steve and Becky from the Rovers (I think it was when Claudia was tipped as the new landlady).
