sorry but she looks like a young Christina Rikki

I don't know whether to facepalm or not, so I'll settle for an eye roll.

Here's the bank that will become Weatherfield Building Society

for the storyline in which Jim attempts to rob it in order to get his family out of the financial black hole

Well, here's an interesting...or not-so-interesting fact...I just realised that that particular branch of Barclays is in my hometown of Bolton. The address is The Wellsprings and here's the quirkiest fact - the side street down the left hand side of the picture (I think you can make out a street sign) is actually called Coronation Street, I can't imagine that this is significant, I just think it's coincidence...and maybe of a little bit of interest to some.

Type The Wellsprings into googlemaps and you can see it adjacent to the bank, just round the back of the octagon theatre.

Apologies for my giddiness, I got a bit excited then when I saw a local place on the screen...

I'd assumed they'd renovate Davenport's in the old viaduct as a bank, as it would have been easier to film away from prying eyes lol

I was in Bolton today to take a book out of the library and noticed a lot people and police, which I first thought was some sort of demo against cuts... and thought great, all this way and its closed! but anyway, it wasn't , it was corrie.

Anyway we stood and watched

three police cars raced round the corner and stopped outside the old Barclays bank, later we saw the Jim McDonald walk out of the bank and into silver merc after he finished filming. I spoke to someone who works in the library and Jim raids the bank to get money to pay for the Rovers!

Anyway, this turned a dull trip in Bolton worthwile. It was quite funny that some people thought it was real, until we told them it was for corrie, I mean, as if hundreds of people would hang around what looked like someone raiding a bank and then lots of armed police round the bank.

and just a quick note for the people into outdoor production, one of the 'fake'police vans was some sort of production van with lots screens and controls inside.

Peter Barlow holds the regeneration record at 6

Nick has only regenerated twice

One of the regenerations came looking for Colin Fishwick the other week (David Lonsdale, better know as David in Heartbeart)

I know, imagine, Peter Barlow could have looked like that

why had Peter never been played by anybody Scotish considering he more or less grew up there, yet his nephew Adam is played by a Scot
