Dennis' return will be very intresting to see, lets hope he points out the "Dennis Tanner 1951" on Eileen's window sill lol

Here's a pic from MTV Canada, look to the left to see the new Joinery (the Kabin's signage looks nice closer up)

That would be a great opening shot for Dennis. Smile Also looking forward to Roy's mum entering the show too. Have we ever heard anything about Roy's parents before? I can't recall.

The new sign looks nice in that image but I don't like the font they've chosen for "The Kabin". Joinery looks intriguing...!

looks like a burger bar?

I think we heard about Roy's dad once, but he's never really mentioned his mum, the font for the Kabin is a bit generic, but I get the feeling they aren't trying to make them look like pretty locations this time around, the Joinery looks very tacky from the looks of the pic (but that's Nick's style, the first item he ever bought for the Joinery was a neon sign), D&S Alahan's Corner Shop looks rather generic Corner Shop this time around too

Edit: I thought "Burger Bar" too lol, the lettering looks like "Nick's Bi" hopefully not Bingo lmao

Wild guess - maybe it's something like "Nick's Bistro"?

The new Corner Shop and Kabin frontages are something I can get used to - like you say, they're perhaps now more reflective of how backstreet businesses look, but that new pillar box...! Shocked

Ah yeah, that's probably it, a Bistro fits in easier on a backstreet than a full on Wine Bar I guess lol

The new post box is really weird, I agree, have Royal Mail started using these in real life?

they have replaced the corner on dev's shop where the door used to be, ok I am going way back to the very start of corry, not sure when the corner shop door ceased to be in said corner

I get really annoyed that canadian fans got all these corry tours when us Uk fans get #-all Mad

I am definitely preferring Corrie since Phil Collinson took over - I cant understand how people say its gone downhill since he took over. Most of the axings were for the best and most of the new characters are great.

Id prefer Corrie Monday (x2), Wed (x1) and Friday (x1) - 4 eps a week.

I agree, over at Coronation Street Chatter, they keep going on about how there's no comedy in the show anymore, which I commented on in the blog, pointing out we have plenty of light hearted scenes coming up, I think there's enough comedy in the show at the moment, the characters are all funny in their own little ways, they also pointed out that the show has become violent (while forgetting that the storyline they all seem to enjoy most involved a woman getting a spade over the head and two women being smashed over the head with a crowbar) lol.

Corrie was quite weak for a few years before Phil arrived, in fact I'd stopped watching, from December 09 to the factory seige

I think the comedy is better now, like the way Sally got Eddie round the house and took the people round to view it, and Julie and Eileen the other week was good. Laughing

I used to like it when it was on, on a Sunday night, it rounded the weekend off quite nicely I always thought.
