I agree, the stuff with Eileen was brilliant and I particularly liked the scenes involving Julie. It made me realise that Eileen is a great character who doesnt get used enough.

IMO Julie has really improved as a character. I used to find her a bit irritating and silly, but lately I've been finding her quite funny, especially when paired with Eileen.

Agreed. I loved the scenes with both of them blackmailing Owen. Laughing

I think Jonathan Harvey brings out the best in Julie-- the conversation (with Sean) about Cagney & Lacey was quite inspired. I agree Eileen is criminally under-used on Coro.

Thanks for the photos...although I've got to admit that overall I'm quite disppointed. I thought that by practically demolishing, and in the case of Dev's, actually demolishing it, the opportunity would be there to completely refurb both of them, looking at these pics, I doubt whether anyone would actually notice the difference, they're both fairly aged designs now...anyone agree or was I just expecting too much?

Those who enjoyed episode one, might enjoy episode two - particularly where Annie Walker pops up at the bar to stop Ena, Minnie and Martha earwigging on an argument.

Well I can't stand here all day. I've got clinkers to riddle and pots to side.

Shop looks better then it did, but then could it look any worse? The kabin looks a bit dated I think it looks better before the tram crash lol.

D&S Alahan's has changed quite a bit IMO, it's twice as big now and looks generall more realistic, plus the exterior no longer follows a colour scheme it seems

By 'eck Ena Sharples! You were'nt behind t' mangle when they 'anded out stair-rods.

On the subject of the new look Corner Shop, I'm not sure about the cigarettes being directly below a sign saying 'Medicines'. Wink

been watching the first few episodes of Corry from 1960 and Ena Sharple, wow what a bitch, so nasty to people, then when people try to put her in her place she turns on them, was she Tracey's God Mother or something because now i know where Tracey gets it from

interesting seeing how attitudes to menal health haven't changed in 50 years, the way Ena lays into Christine Hardman because her Mam's had a mental breakdown, exactly the same attitudes the current residents had with Clare

thanks for posting the new shop photos, not much difference when they said it would change the face of the street forever, looks like Dev's counter is now on the back wall adjoining number 13, and is it me or had the pillar box managed to survive unscathed despite being in the way of an on coming tram,
