I thought this rebuild was going to show us more of weatherfield but the viaduct is just rebuilt and bricked up

I got the impression they just meant the wider CGI shots we got of Weatherfield during the week of specials.

You're right there Stuart. Steve might also be getting muddled up with the relocation of the set which should allow for more of Weatherfield to be seen.

Vicki Binns aught to win best exit, hyperventilating on live tv is no mean feat

on that pic of the street the pillar box is back when it was taken out by the tram, well in CGI world it was because it wouldn't have just popped off in reality it would have made some impact on the front of the tram

be interesting to see how different the new kabin, corner shop, number 13 and flat 12 will look

It actually looks like a bigger one than before

didn't Jez say a while ago that he saw a new and as yet unused part of the set Confused

I wonder whether or not the Joinery will be reopened in the viaduct arch...? It'll be interesting to see what goes there if not. I hope they've taken the opportunity to completely transform the Corner Shop, which has looked dingy and small for too long! It'll be disappointing if it has essentially the exact same frontage too. Also weird that they haven't got round to putting in new windows and doors for No. 13.

The new Streetcars office... Shocked it looked cosy and inviting before, now it just looks cold and clinical!

I don't think The Butchers and No.13 will be lived in for a long time to come, Claire still owns them

They said they were expanding the set down past Victoria Court, around the back of the Bonded Warehouse. However not sure if that will still happen if the set is moving in 2012/13.

I think it is a shame that nothing has been said about Eileen Derbrshire (Emily Bishop) who should have celebrated her 50th Anniversary this month. Has she been in it since New year's Eve? Also where is Rite?

I did wonder if anyone else would comment on this post, it is quite clear that Eileen Derbyshire did not appear at all during January which I think is quite strange, does anybody have any ideas?

The Betty Driver Story has the Harvey's sponsorship (not surprising) but it says 'Sponsors of Coronation Street'

The Betty Driver story was brilliant - what a lovely lady.

Assuming the black & white clips featuring Betty were from 1969, the film recording was a bit grotty.

Does any Corrie from the 60's exist on VT?

How late in 1969 does Corrie exist on film recording?

Not much discussion of current storylines. I'm sick and tired of the Colin Fishwick saga. Rolling Eyes
