Two bits of news:

Craig Gazey (Graeme Proctor) is leaving with his last scenes being in July, despite highly reliable and respectable newspaper The Mirror reporting that he wouldn't be leaving and had signed a new deal.


And Kym Marsh is taking maternity leave four months early but doesn't say when she'll be last seen on-screen.

I thoroughly agree. Wonder what prompted that?

I was hoping he'd take over the butchers

Another salon is going where the butchers was. Or that's the impression I got from last week's scenes!

Ah yes: Claudia was going to approach Clurr with an offer to buy the butchers, last I watched.

she didn't take the butchers because it smelt of meat (what does she expect a butchers to smell of, flowers Rolling Eyes )

she now wants Audrey to retire and buy her shop

she's an odd friend because Audrey doesn't seem to like her very much

He's the other son from the Carla Lane sitcom Butterflies I think - a bit young for Aud!

And the other stylist at Claudia's is in Miranda as the camp waiter. Not that he is typecast of course

Butterflies ( the eldest son)


Cheers, I knew I'd recognised him, he was also the guy Janine Butcher had the one night stand with on the eve of her wedding.

I noticed that was mentioned last night (about the butchers) Laughing I agree with you on their friendship; I think it's love-hate, friendly rivalry. I suspect they have a chequered history, which will probably out at some point, should Claudia become a regular

Nice to hear Steven Houghton is to join the Street, always liked him in London's Burning and Bugs. hard to believe it was 12 years ago, when he released his single and album!
