Why has this conversation suddenly gone back to 1983? We should all be happy that Barbara Knox is still playing Rita and we are not all in mourning.

Yes - because nobody likes being squashed, do they?

"What happened??"
"A tram fell off the viaduct."
"A tram...? [...] What is it wi' me an' trams?"

If that last one isn't the best line of the year, I dare you to find me another.

Just watching it this morning on ITV 2 and that has to be the best line of the week and Corrie at its best - amongst all the tragedy there is still humour!

In question to the fourth death, in the first part in the live episode a fireman or policeman said about a death in a car from the explosion - unless I heard wrong?

Jim McDonald was always rumoured to die during this big week, anyone think it could have been him in the car? He was definitely reported as being seen up in Manchester at the time of the filming.

Sally Whittaker is such a crap actress. The only face she seems to be able to pull is laughing incredulously, even when Molly died last night.

Michael Le Vell's mouth irritates me too. They could both have done with being tied to the tracks

What? Sally Whittaker was amazing! It was very realitic she acted like that after finding out about her hubands affair with her so called friend!

Jane Danson was the best actress of the night tho - she was outstanding.

But for how long? We have seen three deaths so far, but the fourth is yet to occur - and I'm really hoping it it's not Rita. There's a lot of speculation elsewhere on the internet, however... and anyway Barbara may want to call it a day after nigh on 30 years.

I loved that line - and it was almost 21 years to the day that Reet had a near miss being hit by that tram in Blackpool!

An amazing week, Mondays episodes were ok but the rest of the week was excellent. Also it was nice they could include a bit of humour in the middle of the tragedy - only Corrie could do that.

Last night it was great to see Deirdre, Betty, Gail and Emily - I wonder why none of them were in the live episode tho?

Havent watched the special programme from last night yet - looking forward to it tho.

That was a brilliant line. Just shows how Corrie can mix the drama and comedy so perfectly.

Fantastic episodes this week and surprisingly fantastic acting I thought (particularly Sally.......! Very Happy ).

Fourth death though? It'll have to be surely either Rita, Sunita or Peter. Out of those, I'd have to sacrafice Sunita.

You're right, an unnamed car-driver died in the explosion, not a Coro character as far as I'm aware. Given that this week has been dubbed as "Four Funerals And A Wedding", I doubt they'd show a funeral of somebody who is not a character in the show (unless Roy Hudd begs them to!)

Of the characters: Ashley, Molly and Charlotte are dead-- so three. I suspect Sunita might die, she didn't feature at all in Friday's episode; the attention was on Rita's, Hope's and Peter's will-they-won't-they survivals-- so Sunita's death would be a surprise turn. She did suffer serious injuries as I recall? Also Dev is being written out, so it would make sense.

Back to live episode (a big well done all round), I think a scene may have been missed out. Where did John get that lanyard from and how-- and whom was he impersonating when he 'found' Charlotte in the rubble? A doctor I presume...?

I'm not 100% sure, but I have a feeling that it was a hospital vistor pass or something of the sort? As I say not sure though!

Is Roy Hudd guesting as Archie Shuttleworth for the funeral episodes?

Did he do Jack Duckworth's? (Didn't see the episode!)
