It was a shame that the announcer on STV decided to tell us we could see Steve Arnold's exit video on the website. Although I had expected him to be one of the fatalities, I didn't expect this to be confirmed by an STV announcer; rather that we would find out as the week went on. Rolling Eyes

I agree, it seemed a bit quick off the mark. We barely had a bar of music before she said it.

I've unspoilered your quote - cat's out of the bag now I think.

Although no surprise, why on earth go to the effort of keeping such things under wraps only to absolutely confirm it before it's been confirmed on the show itself.

Err, he was coughing up blood shortly before a steel beam and ton of masonry landed on his bonce.

I think it was obvious all along that Ashley would die from the spoilers that were released. Im wondering if Rita will be the 4th death - everyone apart from Ashley, Nick, Molly and Rita have been rescued. Unless one of the people rescued dies of course.

That Rovers Return is indeed the one that was on the Granada Studios tour - they use it as a waiting area for the audience for some of the shows recorded at Granada - I went in there twice in 2007.

Another great episode tonight - I cant wait for the live episode - im curious to know how they are going to pick up the action tomorrow night seen as the rest of the episodes would have been filmed 5+ weeks ago.

I see your point, but I agree it does seem a little silly that there've tried to keep it secret for so long then literally 5 seconds after the collapse, reveal it before his "confirmed" as dead. Ok the steel beam etc came down on him, but he could have still survived, in real life people have survived worse. You never know it might be a red herring - the online videodoesn't actually say his killed - he might survive and walk out in the Weatherfield sunset off to France! Wink Laughing

Btw was this promo to see Steven Arnold's best bit's for the website only on STV. don't think it was on on ITV1 London?

No - ITV did the sensible thing and plugged the live episode. I just hope the live episode doesn't turn out to be the weak link of the week.

Yeah thought so Very Happy

Yeah sometimes it's better to not do it live and get it right. But I can see why there've done it live "big event" etc. and it's nice to have something different that hardly ever happens - this only being the 2nd Live episode ( baring the original's of course).

Anyone think we'll get any surprise cameo's tomorrow? There was talk a while back, but I should think it would have been in the papers this week ( I.e ITV releasing it to get some coverage - Like the pictures of the actual crash were). And there was The Sun thinking The Queen would be making a cameo ! Laughing

Thank god it isn't anything more recent/similar - I bet Corrie's were crossing their fingers that a tram related incident wouldn't happen this week - it'd be Seige week all over again! Wink

Just catching up with Corrie on ITV2 - only five minutes in and it's brilliant. Definitely better than Tuesday's episode, which I thought was slightly lacklustre.

Bless! Laughing

Growing more and more concerned for Rita, though... and I can't say I've ever felt anything for Molly, but the scenes with baby Jack under the Corner Shop rubble are certainly sad to see.

Nothing like a good old terror threat to get on the front page of The Sun! Laughing

Max hasn't been found of course. Don't want to sound like a horrible person who wishes death on children (please note though it's not real!) but I'd rather Max died than Rita.
