So, whats behind the doors of the Rovers on the lot?

I do know that they recreated as much of the interior set as possible in the inside of the exterior Rovers, obviously for certain camera shots which allow us to see beyond the entrance doors, but I'm guessing it's mostly an empty shell. Anyone else know for real?

Well it's not the rovers , but I've heard that the interior of the houses are used as office's - any one know if that's true?

I've read that somewhere too but I think it was only the upstairs that they used.

Some of the houses are used as store rooms for props. The Rovers used to be used as a place to record a video with Corrie characters (in the days of the studio tours)

Lorraine Kelly was in the fake Rovers for her show yesterday morning, too. She went in from outside but it looked like the old bulky font on the signage.

Here's the exterior of the fake Rovers as seen on Monday's Granada Reports.

I've never watched an episode and that looks fake to me.

Looks like Molly and Ashley will be popping their cloggs seeing from tonight. And with Charlotte being the 3rd that should leave 1 more death - Not sure who it could be. Please not Rita! Laughing

Looks like tomorrow Live episode will be great - I hope all goes to plan. It's a bit more risky that say EE's Live episode, what with all the things going on - Fire, explosions etc.
From what I've read it seems that the John Stape murder/Fiz labour storyline will get a lot of airtime tomorrrow - hope it doesn't take too much - should be more about the main events really.

I've never watched an episode and that looks fake to me.

Really?? Shocked Not even caught 5 minutes of it? Not even watched this week? Shocked

I watched the crash on YouTube, saw the Children In Need and one or two very brief clips - but like I say, never an episode.

It used to have a little stall inside selling Coronation Street photo souvenirs, in the style of the bar, obviously a lot smaller. I think that's the reason for it being kitted out rather than for filming. It was used once on screen for the 40th birthday live episode, towards the end, as it wouldve taken too long for the cast to get from the actual interior to the street.

As for the houses, they don't have dividing walls and the building is used to keep random props/costumes as I recall.

After following the forum regularly for the past four years I am finally posting!

I have very much enjoyed this weeks episodes and thought that the tram crash itself was well done for what this is, a TV soap. There was a couple of parts that frustrated me, one of which has been mentioned - the dinosaur/titanic noise as the carriage landed on The Kabin. The other was when the tram crashed into the corner shop where for me it looked as though Molly ran much further than the length the shop actually is. I know this is a TV programme, but it just looked a bit silly.

It was a shame that the announcer on STV decided to tell us we could see Steve Arnold's exit video on the website. Although I had expected him to be one of the fatalities, I didn't expect this to be confirmed by an STV announcer; rather that we would find out as the week went on. Rolling Eyes
