Not a lot to lighten up about really is there, don't be so unfeeling, what happened today is a tragic event, be thankful none of your family or friends were affected

Anyone remotely affected by the events in Cumbria wasn't likely to be sat watching the TV last night anyway, in which case postponing programmes/adverts etc in the name of 'respect' is rather pointless.

I'm not sure airing the show today either would be very appropriate.

How long do you suggest this self-imposed media censorship should continue?

You are horrendous.

I wish ITV would hurry up and tell us if Corrie will be on tonight or next week

I was really looking forward to watching Corrie last night, as were many people, but because of what happened I can fully understand ITV's need to remove it from the schedules. At the end of the day its not going to make a lot of difference waiting a day or even a week to watch the episodes in the grand scheme of things.

exactlty - were going to see them eventually!

Although I am slightly annoyed that Corrie wasn't on, I fully support ITV's decision not to show it. At the time the identities of a lot of the victims were not known, so its quite possible that those worried about people they know would have put on Corrie as a light hearted soap to take their mind off it. Showing the scenes with guns and hostages would have only made it worse for them.

I have a lot of family in Cumbria, some who were going to Whitehaven yesterday (fortunately they didn't in the end), who are Corrie fans and I know they support it not being shown at the moment. It's a bit of a sore subject for the Cumbrians at the moment, and anything that reminds them of that so soon or could be seen to promote gun violence is probably best not shown.

You posted something similar yesterday. You still haven't said why you need to know so urgently. Are you an advertiser? Are you worried your advert will not be shown?

Resumption earlier than Monday would seem inappropriate to me.

I agree - and there are plenty of slots in next weeks schedule where they could catch up too. Ironically too the World Cup actually makes ITV's schedule a bit more flexible too - on nights they don't have games it's generally soaps + repeats, so they could easily catch up within a couple of weeks.

Plus they could put two Emmerdale's tonight and tommorow, allowing more Corrie next week

No, I'm a big fan, who has been looking forward to this storyline since January, I just want to know when Corrie is on next, not a crime is it?

I am a big fan as well but until we know whats happening whats the point in stressing over it! We will be told when the next episode is going to be screened - if in doubt tune in at 9pm just incase.

Also as we have waited so long to see it a few more days arent going to matter.
