Why did Alistair Stewart not explain to the viewers where Weatherfield is? This was a national bulletin, wasn't it? Would viewers in the south know where Weatherfield is? How did that reporter not only get there so quickly but also manage to get live pictures out so soon?

There also seems to be some confusion, is the reporter Caroline Hacking or Caroline Whitmore?

she was Hacking now married and Whitmore, i guess ITV.Com did not even watch the clip before uploading it. Rolling Eyes

Coronation Street Uncovered: Live is on ITV2 now. This didn't seem to get much promotion. I only noticed it as I was flicking through the channels.

Has the black & white ep been cleaned up in anyway since 2000(It's last showing!)?

Also when did the font for the end credits change to the more familiar set transmitted during the 70's to 90's(?)?

I suspect sometime during the late 60's as they appear on the coach crash episode as seen on You Tube!

Seeing as we're getting a look at how ITV News might report the incident, how do we think BBC News and Sky News
might cover it? I'm sure Sky News would have something like this all week on their yellow BREAKING NEWS ticker . . .

Seems the Tram Driver won't die according to Phil C on ITV2 show, so that won't be the "cop out" death as some have feared! Very Happy

Not an avid Corrie watcher, tuned in tonight to see what would happen. From the reports in the press I was actually expecting there to be people/deaths on the tram - the bar explosion was also a bit of a surprise.
