at least there keep the front cap, it does seem to be a new one!
Yep - glad they kept the Granada frontcap in. Also - is it me or have they enhanced the picture (VidFIRE or something)? Looks exceptionally good quality indeed, better than the copies previously released on VHS and DVD!
It does look very nice (although it's postage stamped on the screen here for some reason). I'd imagine it would have been cleaned up and remastered for a previous showing, the 40th anniversary perhaps?
I'd imagine that was the last time that ITV showed something in black and white too
That "Next" was a bit strange - don't you think?
It did make me jump for a split second!
No doubt there'll be a 'Tomorrow' teaser as well.
I'd imagine this first b/w edition has been digitally remastered.
Yeah no doubt there will! Just was a bit strange - but I suppose it's just because we don't see them in Corrie ( more in full drama's) - has there ever been a Next/ Tomorrow preview in Corrie before?

That's the thing - this 50th anniversary showing appears to be much, much cleaner and clearer in picture quality than any of its previous transmissions or commercial releases.

I could just about see one of those commercial break ticker things in the top right though it looked slightly curved. Presumably it was burnt on to the recording.
Are there any lost episodes of Corrie or do they all still exist?
