This has been sent out from the ITV Press Office to a number of newspapers in Manchester and surrounding area. This version has been provided for Metro Manchester who are running a special "Coronation Street" edition the week of the tram crash...

Politanlink Poster

What a pity they couldn't even be bothered to spell Altrincham correctly. Confused

I do like the note at the bottom!

This is a fictional poster for the Coronation Street storyline. The Politanlink company does not exist, neither does Nightingale Row tramstop or the Weatherfield Wayfarer bus. © 2010 ITV Studios Ltd. This lower section of the poster is not to be in public view.

yes that's bound to piss a few people off who've spent the last five decades thinking weatherfield exists Rolling Eyes

I think the live episode will be all inside scenes, be a bit odd if it snows on the night and they are filming outside Confused

They have an interesting spelling of Nightingale too in the body text.

Also, they nicked the tram pic straight from a certain Bury wannabe-councillor's website

Nice to see the Radio Times and most other tv mags featuring Corrie for its 50th week. I could only see Bet and Michelle covers of the Radio Times in Tesco tho - I want a Hilda cover!

Is it a genuine thing? Steddenm has been known to fake some things in the past. I find it a bit questionable that they'd link to gmpte's website in what is essentially an advert.

Looks a bit amateurish for a corporate website.

I agree, it wouldn't be wise to put that in newspapers, it's too true to life and would probably go over a lot of peoples head since "Coronation Street" isn't mentioned anywhere
