The Cook Report to return to ITV

The best news I've heard for a long time. Cant wait!

Excellent news, it was a great programme. I remember when it was on & the best bit was when he confronted the perputrator (sp) & was determined to get some answers, regardless of whether or not he was going to get a punch or a kick

I thourgh half his programme were MADE UP?? that why it got axed???

Are ITV's current bosses aware that The Cook Report has nothing to do with cookery at all?

Regarding 623058 comment, I think it was axed round about the time Carlton took control of Central, or not long after.

I also believe he quit last time as he got badly injured during or after his last report

I was quite young when this series was on but I do remember bits of it - including the music!

Its good that ITV are bringing back quality programmes.

They aren't actually bring it back, it's just a best of programme.

I'd love to hear that theme tune again.

A shame he'll no longer be saying the immortal words, "I'm Roger Cook from Central Television".

Personally I'd like to see the show take a rather more slapstick approach.

Yeah, he should have Norman Wisdom as a side-kick

Roger Cook - last time I saw him was on Hell's Kitchen where he clearly didn't fit in (no puns, he's quite a large fellow now) and he sat on one of the balcony deckchairs, it broke and he did his back in. In fact, I think he only appeared in one show.
