Hi everyone,

I'm a BA (Hons) second year film student at Falmouth university. I'm currently studying how do we consume media content? using Netflix as a case to predict how we will watch films and TV shows in 5-10 years time.
If anyone would be interested in helping then please follow the link below to complete the 5-10 minute questionnaire:

http://survey.jointeffortstudios.com/index.php?sid=95778&lang=en

For any of those who might be interested in the results I'll be more than happy to post the results online as well as my work that I will be using the results.

All the response will be completely anonymous and won't be used for anything else but my personal research. Thank you to all of those who spent a few minutes of their time to read this post and a big thank you to all of you who went on to complete my survey.

If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me.

This isn't a survey, it's a questionnaire.

glad you noticed that, the survey is the answers to the questionaire

In a questionaire the same question is asked to everyone while in a survey different questions are asked

I would hope somebody with a BA honours degree would know the difference

Yes technically this is a questionnaire but what I'll be using it for will become a survey as at the moment I'm investigating the opinions or experiences of a group of people, based on the series of questions. Creating critical examination sorry if there was any confusion.

All the results to the questionnaire will be posted back on this forum to create a survey that if you so wish to use or just have a general interest in the results I'm more than happy to do so.

Questionnaires are a particular type of survey.

I'll let you off Wink

was a good questionaire, some boxes need a don't wish to answer or a no answer box, not everybody watches films and I don't think nationality is relevant

good luck with it

Thank you very much again sorry I didn't advertise it right, and I completely agree about having a no answer section but it was advised by our lectures not to do so and I don't really have the guts to upset my Polish film lecturer (she can be very scary at times Very Happy).
I understand that a lot of people won't want to include there nationality but again it was something that was recommended to do so I just decided to include just in case, but question 18 which is your current residents will be taken account in a very significant when creating the survey so I hope not to many people skip that one Smile.

Thank you to everyone who has completed my survey so far I've just been watching the numbers who have completed the survey after posting on here go up and up. Its extremely exciting seeing the various results coming from you guys and their all brilliant. So again thank you for your support and I'll definitely create a survey with graphs and charts (if you so wish) for all of you to see the results.

That was pretty poor. You forgot to include an option to "neither agree nor disagree", and you seemed to forget that Netflix isn't the only film streaming service (although it is the worst). Some questions weren't relevant to me at all, but I had to answer them. You also forgot to include an option for people who pay their TV Licence but don't have a subscription.

Sorry survey science is a cruel and annoying feature the reason I was told not to include a no answer or neither agree or disagree is because a lot of times people will often opt to choose that one for the sake of it. The four answer are there to force people to provide a clear cut answer when moving onto the survey section.
I haven't forgotten other streaming services it's just that Netflix will be used as a case study in the survey results sorry if this has annoyed any of you.

Yes, a clear cut answer that will give inaccurate results. I have done surveys for reputable survey companies, and the inclusion of an answer of not agreeing or disagreeing is pretty standard, as those who are indecisive can be removed through data analysis (whereas you can't tell whether someone disagreed or agreed when they in fact neither agreed nor disagreed). In fact, many use a numbered scale simply because four options is often not enough, and the data can be analysed and corrected more.

Again, not applicable or no answer is a vital option for some questions where it doesn't apply to somebody, although this usually can be done by removing the option to answer a question if previous responses preclude it from being answerable.
