I've just switched this on, and god its cringeworthy isn't it! There is absolutely NO atmosphere at all! It's completely dead. There are people there but they're mostly sitting still and silent.
It seems that in a lot of countries the broadcast is going out on the same channel but to different areas around the world - VH1, Star TV and M-Net seem to be the broadcasters in a lot of areas around the world.
It's also going out on a lot of radio stations too...

BFBS seem to be rebroadcasting the audio from BBC1 including the studio bits and complete silence when the sound person forgets to turn the crowd noise up after a VT.
I see the Digital Spy thread on this has already reached 100 pages...
Personally I think its getting better as it goes on.
Didn't realise it was commonplace to use LCD/TFT screens as music stands these days. Not sure I like the lengthy gaps between the stadium shots and the films (was about to write appeal films for a moment there..)
I don't know what's going on with the sound on the concert tonight at the end of each song... perhaps it's the only way they can change from one set of microphones to the other, or perhaps its to give broadcasters a chance to opt out for their own thing (adverts/studio bits etc).
And is it just me, or does the studio the BBC have remind anyone else of that "Millennium Wheel" type pod they had for Live8?
Do we reckon Fearne was a little nervous about introducing Orson..? They keep cutting away from these pre-recorded interviews, they're all in a muddle.
Anyway, the concert itself isn't that bad, but the sound problems are awful. And Claudia and Jamie keep fluffing their links.
