Well I ask you...

An ident has made it into Ofcom's latest broadcast bulletin (issue 82), though mercifully in the "Not in breach/out of remit" section. The symbol in question? C4's Trafalgar Square ident, about which two complaints were received on the grounds of animal welfare!

Wonder who the idiots were that made the complaints, and how else they spend their obviously large amount of spare time? They both deserve an extra-large helping of pigeon waste... Laughing

Well at least they took notice - no matter how "cruel" it seems. Razz

Gotta love the fact that a person complained about the Powergen sting before ITV Weather. Apparently it contains "dangerous activity". Razz

Not sure I've seen one since those kids were dressed up as the sun etc... what was the dangerous activity?

Quite right - and while they're at it, you could have someone's eye out with those dangeroud kites on BBC One.

Also, you could kill yourself doing those bike stunts on BBC 1.

This is absolutly barmy! Another complaint a while back to ofcom, was that they wanted to edit all off the Tom and Jerry cartoons, because they contained slapstick violence, dynamite and explosives, smoking and fighting. This woman said it was a bad influence to her children Razz Surprised

I can't believe they got away with Capoeira for so long when they were on top of a building without a safety-rail in sight.

Not to mention those guys dangling from the ceiling without a safelty net in sight.

Not forgetting that in Tap Dogs they wantonly ascended ladders without hard hats or first filing a full risk assessment.

...and BBC One's Tai-chi - there were no warning signs next to that dangerous lake - you can drown in only 3 inches of water, you know. Not to mention Tai-chi Rotation - doing anything upside-down needs a full risk assessment beforehand!! Rolling Eyes

and also that BBC Two zapper with the fly getting zapped from the 1997-2001 BBC Two idents.

Central were apparently knobbled by Midlands Trading Standards officers for failing to declare if its famous cake may have contained traces of nuts or seeds.
