McFly are one of those common bands (in my case, think are crap) but Peter Kay's is pretty unusual, and don't come across it alot, so I think Number One!

Where do you think it will chart?
The official comic relief song by McFly got to number 1 so....who knows.

I've definately heard her name in connection with the video.
Not sure what's so strange with her appearing with Danny Baker... far more likely than some complete unknown from BBC3

Are you sure? I wouldn't think she'd dress up, and especially appear with Danny Baker!

Can I just correct a misconception that a lot of people have jumped to.
It is a Tony Christie recrding not a Peter Kay recording. In fact it is the original 70's release ( I should know I have it several times! )
Peter Kay just fronts the video!

You forgot Peter Kay (again!) and Patrick McGuinness as 'Max and Paddy'!

And the famous faces that have appeared in order...
If you know any that I'm missing, then help out...
Peter Kay, Anne Kirbride (Deirdre Rachid), William Roche (Ken Barlow), Bernie Clifton (and bird), Keith Harris & Orville, Sally Lindsey (Shelley Unwin), Sir Jimmy Saville, the 5 dwarfs, Jim Bowen, Mr Blobby, Danny Baker, Alex Stanger (of BBC 3 fame) though she does look like Mrs Heather Mills McCartney (but would she be dancing with Danny Baker, especially dressed up?), Geoffrey Hayes, Bungle, Michael (Parkie) Parkinson, Ronnie Corbett, possibly Justin Moorhouse (Young Kenny in Phoenix Nights), though could be a Peter Kay lookalike, Tony Christie, Shaun & Bez from the Happy Mondays, Brian Potter (Peter Kay), Roger Taylor, Brian May, Sweep & Sooty, lookalike of Ghandi & Cliff, Shakin' Stevens! (I KNOW!!), and random crew, extras, dancing girls, and pantomine horses.

It's definately Danny, he has talked about the filming of the video on his radio show. when he interviewed Tony Christie a few weeks back: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/realmedia/radio/tony_christie.ram
Apparently if it gets to number 1 ths week it will be the longest wait for an artist to get a number 1. It's been 34 years since he first entered the charts. He will beat Lulu who waited 29 years before gettign a number 1 with Take That

Are you sure the Scarecrow is Danny Baker. I thought the scarecrow looked more like Tony Slattery however I'll need to take a look at the video again just to be sure.
