It maybe my imagination, but the show doesn't seem as edgy this year.
Possibly because we haven't really had the big matriarchs in studio (as of yet) - i.e. Lenny Henry, French and Saunders but I guess they're trying to modernise the format appeal more this year.
Well as Lenny himself said at the opener, he's been doing this for 21 years now. Perhaps he's slowly passing the torch [on-screen] to the talent of today. Things have to move on sadly, that's just the way things work. And Comic Relief will be no different.
Infact out of everyone, it really looks like Wossy is a good candidate to be looking after it in the years to come. Seeing for years he's been there without fail doing god knows what to look a fool and raise money.
My word some of you lot are moaners! I know you want entertainment, so do I, but I'm obviously not going to like everything. I do like a lot of what I'm seeing however, and the most important thing is the money! Not the length of a James Cordon sketch!
Tower, stop complaining about the lack of music - they've got the balance right. If you want music, put BBC Two on now. And you're not allowed an opinion anyway, you didn't get the ABBA pun.
